Turn on Holiday Voicemail/Voicemail Override

How to set up voicemail override for holiday or other specific needs. 

You must have the user roles of Admin or Advanced Team Member to access this feature. See your role.

Record Your Greeting

Before you turn on Voicemail Override, you will need to have a greeting in place. You can choose to either record a new greeting or select one you already have recorded.

If you need to record a new greeting, you can do so in the following ways: 

Use the Voicemail Override shortcut in the Weave Mobile App
  1. Login to your Weave mobile app

  2. Select the Blue_Settings.svg Settings icon from the home screen

  3. Select the Phone.svg Phone setting
  4. If you have the Departments feature, select Departments. If not, continue to step 5.
  5. Select Voicemail Override 

  6. Tap Select Greeting 
  7. Select Record.svg Record New
  8. When you're ready to start recording tap on the red circle Error_Badge.svg and record your message
  9. When you're done, tap on the red square Screen_Shot_2021-07-09_at_12.50.49_PM.png to stop recording
  10. Give your greeting a name so you can identify it later
  11. Press Save

Once your greeting is recorded, you will need to turn on voicemail override by following the directions below.

Turn On or Off Voicemail Override

Note: If you have a Phone Tree set up for your phone system, Voicemail Override will override the phone tree as well. If you wish to keep the Phone Tree in place, you can change the main greeting instead of using the Voicemail Override feature.

 

If you have the Main Line or Departments options in the Phone section, turn on voicemail override there.

Weave Portal Desktop App Mobile
  1. Go to the Weave Portal
  2. Click Phone.svg Phone from the left side menu
  3. Select Voicemail Override
  4. Select the greeting you want to use
  5. Toggle on the VMO Active button TOGGLEGIF.gif

When you return to the office, turn off the voicemail override message by clicking on the VMO alert that will appear at the top of your Weave Desktop App.

You'll need to remember to turn off voicemail override after the holidays or break to receive customer calls normally.
